"Mick is one of the reasons I can continue to lift and have a healthy fitness journey."

As parents of two children, we empathize with the challenges that arise when a family member is injured or facing physical disability.
Perhaps you're finding it tough to play catch with your child because of an injury, or maybe you worry about your child taking another tumble while you're busy with household chores. The challenges families face are endless.
Our aim is to collaborate with each family to develop a treatment plan that fosters physical accomplishments and enhances independence in movement and function, ultimately promoting unity within the family and plenty of enjoyable playtime together!

Mick Janusko is a Sports Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA before relocating to Tampa where he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa in Pre-Allied Health. Not long after completing his undergrad degree, he moved to Saint Augustine where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2014) and his Manual Therapist Certification (2016) from the University of Saint Augustine.
His Journey toward becoming a physical therapist began after a knee injury his junior year of high school. This injury prevented him from reaching his dream of becoming a collegian athlete. Mick grew up playing all sports but especially loved basketball. He also pole vaulted and played soccer throughout high school. His time in therapy led him down his current path in the performance world.
Mick has been practicing for 10 years at this point with a few stops along the way. He began his career working in Kingsland, GA for Advance Rehabilitation where he eventually became the Director of Sports Medicine and Performance. Knowing the limitations with insurance based therapy, Mick has spent the last 3 years in a Cash Therapy setting which has allowed him to treat patients the way they deserve to be treated. All sessions one-on-one and highly individualized.
Since meeting Kaylee in Physical Therapy school, he has always had a dream to open a clinic with her instilling the values they carry in their personal lives and marriage. ACTive Family is a dream come true for Mick and he is excited to share his passion for his family and therapy with his patients. Mick enjoys spending his free time outdoors with Kaylee, their two daughters and their lab, Dallas.

Kaylee attended the University of North Florida and received her Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Exercise Science. She then pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine.
Presently Kaylee has training in manual therapy, soft tissue massage, and orthopedic management of foot deformities. She is educated in infant handling and NDT techniques. She has experience in pediatric vestibular dysfunction as well as sensory-motor needs. Kaylee has worked with various diagnoses, from orthopedic management, gross motor delay, endocrine and metabolic dysfunction, autism spectrum disorder, and genetic syndromes to neurologic dysfunction, including cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injury.
Working at ACTive Family, Kaylee creates an engaging environment to enhance developmental growth. She finds inspiration from the children she meets and believes children have great potential to learn, grow, and become their best selves.
Away from work, Kaylee enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters in the beautiful outdoors.

Cody Grady is a Performance Physical Therapist at Active Family Physical Therapy. Born and raised in a small rural town in Central Ohioāwhere Friday nights revolved around high school footballāCody grew up with a deep love for sports, teamwork, and the sense of community that comes with them.
He went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Biology from Capital University in Columbus, OH, where his interest in human performance and movement science continued to grow. An Ex-college sprinter, his passion eventually led him to pursue a career in physical therapy, combining his love for athletics with his desire to help others move, perform, and live better.
Before returning home to work for The Ohio State University, Cody spent several years in Southern California working with active-duty military service members. The parallels between tactical athletes and competitive athletes deepened his appreciation for a collaborative, team-based approach to care and the importance of strong communication throughout the rehabilitation process as well as the power of building a more resilient body through movement and exercise.
Now at Active Family Physical Therapy, Cody enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilitiesāhelping them return to the activities they love safely, efficiently, and stronger than before. Codyās clinical interests include injury prevention, Post-surgical care, and return-to-sport training. Cody has over a decade of experience working with post surgical, chronic pain, many other orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries.
Outside the clinic, Cody enjoys staying active through golf, fitness, weight-lifting and endurance events such as 5Ks, half marathons, 100-mile bike rides, and duathlonsāalways looking for his next challenge. On weekends, youāll often find him and his wife out exploring with their son, Callaway, discovering new coffee shops, fishing, traveling, or catching live music.

Mick has been more than a physical therapist at CF904. He has been a team mate, and someone who has involved himself with the community. He is constantly asking how certain members are doing after he has treated them. He is always communicating what to look out for for those members he has treated, and how to help them during class. As a business partner, he has been fantastic. As a therapist, he rises above. He isnāt a ātreat you foreverā therapist, but one who wants to get you fixed, healed, and on your way to continue accomplishing your goals. He is very conscious of what his clients take best to as far as treatment plans and is very sensitive....

I was considering surgery, but now I don't need it!
Mick helped me overcome chronic knee pain and swelling that was interferring with my daily activities. I never felt pressured or judged if I was unable to complete my assigned exercises between appointments. He also helped me understand why I was doing each exercise so I have the knowledge to help myself in the future if I have another injury.
As a healthcare provider, I appreciated Mick's willingness to be my physical therapist and also a trusted consultant. As a
provider who does CrossFit, Mick understands the movements and how to modify them appropriately to reach my goals.
10/10 would recommend, especially if you are a CrossFit athlete!

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional care provided by Mick. Mick's expertise, dedication, and genuine concern for his patients have made a remarkable difference in the lives of my family.
Mick has helped me in treating various sports injuries for both my daughter, who is an avid basketball player, and me as a runner. His comprehensive approach and personalized treatment plans have facilitated our recoveries and enabled us to return to our respective sports with confidence....
